 Durawear™,
a high strength-wear resistant fabric, is unique compared
to other high strength fabrics due to it's waterproof
nature. A PVC coating on the backside creates this waterproofing,
which makes Durawear™ ideal for outdoor applications
or in wet environments such as fire fighting. Durawear™
is superior to other FMVSS certified fabrics in terms
of thread density, weight, strength and surface abrasion.

Bostrom has provided Durawear™ to 24 hour/day, high-use
Roadway trucking terminals for forklift seating and other
off-highway applications as well as over 2 years of field
use at the New York Fire Department (NYFD). In both cases,
past trials with other trim materials did not live through
the rigors of these two abusive environments. However,
Durawear ™ has successfully survived in both these
high-use applications and is now required on all seating
to these customers.
